some of the detail work gets finished...a punch of grapefruit color...green and black chalkboard paint in the windows for goings on...a little apple green polka dotted paper for the entry, the front wall dry brushed with the bead board color from the wall i wanted to be brick, and The shops mantra...enter with a happy heart shows up at a flea market....AwesomE!

Fantastic antique gingerbread found loose on the junk superhighway adds dramatic intrest to this very boring doorway...Also free and verrrry heavy antique chalkboards came my way and I framed in the window and painted the back wall a slightly deeper green than the stripes.

the sheetrock had been put up and never taped so there were very clear lines where the sheets met up. This bothered me and I do not like taping...sooooo STRIPEs! I am a blues and greens girl so I used Aviary and studio...The studio has valspars sparkes added to it so it is very sparkily!...I love it when friends come to help!

I was looking for brick...but got this antique beadboard instead....Then, i wanted a crackle finish, and the Ralph LAuren glaze to create this look was a rather too high price, so the folks on the internet said that good ol white glue would do the trick. So I hand painted the wall with white glue, then I hand painted the green over it...but alas, no crackle...phooey. Still pretty though.
